Our
Mission
To provide community support, connection, and belonging to young adults who have aged out of foster care or become estranged from biological support systems, so they can build financial independence and a thriving life.
Found Family, Inc. exists on a simple belief: every young adult deserves a safety net, whether or not they were born into one. When someone ages out of the foster care system, or finds themselves estranged from the family they do have, adulthood doesn't arrive gradually — it arrives all at once, often with nowhere to land. We exist to be the family that shows up for that moment, and for every one after it.
How the Model Works
Found Family, Inc. is the charitable engine of a three-part model built around one mission: sustainability and accessibility. Serenity House Inc. owns and manages the housing. Create Influence, Inc. — a Public Benefit Corporation — runs the education and mentorship programs. Found Family, Inc., our 501(c)(3), raises tax-deductible donations and awards scholarships that make that housing and programming accessible to the young adults who need it most.
